Share what matters, keep what lasts

Riikee 2.5 makes useful passages easier to share, gives your writing a private home in Google Drive, and adds safer controls for public content, profile images, and feedback.

What changed

  • A passage selected in the editor can now be saved to Clips before you share it. Turn any saved Clip into a downloadable image or a public Riikee page, then share it to X, Threads, Facebook, Bluesky, Reddit, or Telegram.
  • Google Drive backup can now keep saved Writings—including drafts and supported embedded images—in your own Drive. The first connection backs up existing work; daily runs preserve each Writing’s latest copy and history, and Back up now lets you start one manually.
  • Profile images are now managed inside Riikee. Upload and crop a photo, remove it, or import one from a supported Google or X account; the same avatar appears consistently across the sidebar, settings, Clips, and achievement cards.
  • A new feedback form is available from the editor and sidebar for bugs, feature requests, and general experience. Occasional prompts wait until you are idle and stay out of the writing flow.

Progress worth keeping and sharing

Riikee 2.4 turns writing milestones into something you can revisit and share, adds a monthly view of your practice, and makes important product changes easier to notice.

What changed

  • Achievements are now presented as stickers throughout Writing Journey. A new indicator lets you know when one has arrived; opening Achievements marks it as seen; and every sticker has a detail view with its story and unlock date.
  • Every sticker can become a personal achievement card with your name, avatar, and writing statistics. Customize what appears, download the image, copy a public link, or share it to X, Threads, Facebook, Bluesky, Reddit, or Telegram.
  • Shared stickers now open on a public Riikee page that works without an account. The card has a standard social preview image and a tactile interaction: move the pointer to tilt it, or drag it far enough to glimpse the back.
  • The new monthly writing report brings together your writing days, words, pieces, longest streak, calendar rhythm, and new stickers, followed by the Riikee updates released that month. It has its own email preference, separate from product-update emails.
  • Important releases now introduce themselves once inside Riikee, with a short overview and direct paths to each change. Once dismissed, the same announcement stays out of your way.
  • Account deletion now uses a time-limited identity check before subscriptions, files, and account data are removed. Saving a temporary Writing to your account and autosaving its title are also more resilient, reducing the chance that an older title replaces newer work.

A place for fragments and long works

Riikee 2.3 adds two new ways to work with writing at different scales: Projects for shaping long-form work, and Clips for keeping useful fragments close at hand.

What changed

  • Projects bring the Writings of a novel, long essay, research work, or other extended project into one place. Sections make its structure and order visible; starting from a Project or Section creates the right association automatically; previous and next navigation supports continuous review; and goals, deadlines, status, archive rules, and Project statistics show how the work is developing without turning the page into a task board.
  • Clips gives useful fragments a place between discovery and drafting. With the Riikee browser extension, selected text from the web can be saved with its source or used to begin a new Writing; inside the editor, a passage can be copied or moved to Clips. Saved Clips can be searched in Library, opened at their source, used to start writing, or inserted into another Writing with their origin still available for reference.

A richer page without more noise

Riikee 2.2 expands what a practice can hold—links, code, tables, private images, and stronger exports—while adding gentler ways to pause, return, and build a writing rhythm.

What changed

  • A single command menu now stays close to the work: type / to insert content, or select text to open the relevant formatting and AI actions. On smaller screens, the same tools move into a readable bottom sheet.
  • The editor now supports richer links, code blocks with syntax highlighting, and tables with controls for adding or removing rows and columns and marking a header row.
  • Private writing images can be added from a file, screenshot, drag and drop, or Word paste. Markdown image links remain supported, with an option to save a remote image to Riikee. Uploads are compressed, stripped of embedded metadata, and counted in the storage shown under Settings → Subscription.
  • Markdown, Word, and PDF exports now preserve more of the document, including links, tables, images, lists, quotes, code, and text formatting where the format allows it.
  • A shorter first-writing guide helps new writers reach the page sooner. Settings → Writing now includes deliberate breaks and a 14-day guide, so you can pause optional reminders without losing your history and return at your own pace.
  • Writing Journey now separates writing streaks from daily-goal streaks, and the new Rhythm Maker achievement marks progress through the 14-day guide.
  • Portuguese and French join Chinese, English, Spanish, and Japanese across the app, with refreshed wording throughout the writing experience.

See the practice behind the words

Riikee 2.1 makes the work of building a writing habit easier to understand, with Writing Sessions, Focus Mode, achievements, and a richer view of how your writing develops over time.

What changed

  • Writing Sessions now record active writing time and word progress automatically, while excluding long pauses from the time you actually spent writing.
  • Focus Mode adds intentional, timed sessions with fullscreen writing, pause and resume controls, and a clear summary when the session ends.
  • Writing Journey brings Statistics, Achievements, and Portrait together, showing recent rhythm, session patterns, personal records, and when you tend to write.
  • A new badge system recognizes milestones across streaks, total words, writing days, Writing Sessions, and Focus Mode, with clear progress toward the next badge.
  • AI Writing Portrait can now reveal recurring themes, forms, emotional tones, and writing patterns across the last 30 days, this year, or your full analyzed history.

A quieter page, a more thoughtful companion

Riikee was rebuilt around the act of writing: less interface, more room to think, and AI that supports the writer without taking over the page.

What changed

  • A full-page writing space with a hidden top drawer, responsive layouts, refined toolbars, and warm, neutral, and night writing themes.
  • AI support for finding directions, shaping outlines, continuing drafts, reviewing language, rewriting, expanding, shortening, adjusting tone, suggesting titles, and offering contextual advice.
  • Background writing analysis, richer document information, an AI Writing Portrait, and deeper views across Writing Stats and Archive.
  • A guest writing experience that lets anyone begin immediately, with sign-in requested only when saving to the cloud or using AI.
  • More capable writing reminders, weekend schedules, onboarding, archives, account flows, exports, and a new Help Center.

The habit becomes visible

Riikee grew beyond the editor and began showing the shape of a writing practice—progress, streaks, reminders, and the first small forms of assistance.

What changed

  • Streak badges, daily prompts, goal-completion guidance, and writing reminders made the daily practice easier to return to.
  • Writing Stats moved to server-side aggregation and became more reliable across authentication states and time zones.
  • Spanish and Japanese joined English and Chinese, while onboarding made the product easier to understand on the first visit.
  • Shareable writing cards and mobile sharing were introduced and refined.
  • The first AI inspiration assistant arrived, followed by a more resilient gateway-backed foundation.
  • Saving and temporary-writing safeguards were strengthened, including a fix for duplicate article creation.

The early editor became a product people could trust with an everyday habit, a subscription, and writing that needed to survive page changes.

What changed

  • A global draft system added background saving, manual saving, recovery guidance, and clearer saved-state feedback.
  • Catch Up let Pro writers return to missed dates while historical word-count rules remained explicit.
  • Pro subscriptions, daily practice limits, configurable goals, and the Stripe payment flow were established.
  • Editor preferences, keyboard flow, fullscreen writing, mobile layouts, and the floating toolbar were substantially refined.
  • Writing deletion gained confirmation and safer handling, while loading and empty-day experiences became more coherent.

The editor finds its shape

Core writing tools, account recovery, exports, statistics, and the calendar were made practical enough for regular use.

What changed

  • Time-zone handling was corrected so practices were created and stored on the intended day.
  • The floating formatting toolbar and shared visual variables were stabilized across the application.
  • Password reset, personal settings, and a broader time-zone list improved account management.
  • Writing could be exported as TXT, Markdown, Word, and PDF.
  • Statistics were reorganized, and the calendar was rebuilt with smoother navigation, saving shortcuts, and clearer progress.
