A word count tells you how much you wrote. It cannot tell you what keeps returning to the page.

Riikee uses optional AI writing analysis to help you revisit the themes, forms, and written moods that appear across your work. Each result begins with text you have already written. Over time, Writing Portrait gathers those results into a view of the patterns in the pages, not a verdict on the person who wrote them.

Analysis begins after the writing

The page should be a place to write before it becomes a source of data. When automatic writing analysis is enabled in Settings → AI, Riikee may analyze an eligible saved practice after your writing settles. A practice generally needs at least 150 words.

The analysis runs in the background rather than interrupting the draft. It does not use the allowance for AI writing tools you start yourself, although it may wait when the system-wide analysis limit has been reached. The Writing Portrait guide explains the current eligibility rules.

See one practice from another angle

Open Information on an analyzed practice to see its result. Depending on the text, Riikee may show a summary, keywords and themes, form or genre, written mood, emotional brightness and energy, language, and confidence.

These fields are ways back into the writing. A summary can help you find an older page. A theme can remind you that an idea has appeared before. Mood and form offer another vocabulary for comparing one practice with the next.

Notice what changes across time

A single analysis describes one page. Writing Portrait combines analyzed practices across the last 30 days, this year, or all time. The longer view can surface themes you return to, forms you use often, and shifts in the moods present in the text.

Library can also show summaries and emotional cues beside older writing. The aim is to make the archive easier to re-enter, not to reduce every page to a label. You can still open the original practice whenever an analysis makes you curious.

Read the portrait with caution

Writing Portrait describes patterns in analyzed text. It is not a psychological profile, diagnosis, or medical assessment. A dark mood in a fictional scene does not establish how its author feels, and a theme that appears often may belong to a project rather than a life.

AI results can also be incomplete or mistaken. Treat the portrait as a prompt to reread, not as an authority. The useful question is often simple: does this observation help you see something real in the pages?

Keep analysis under your control

You can turn automatic writing analysis off in Settings → AI to stop new background analyses. Existing results remain until the related writing or account is deleted, or until a newer analysis replaces them.

Analysis requires Riikee to process the eligible writing and store the structured result. Riikee does not use your writing to train its own AI models. The Riikee Privacy Policy explains what is processed, retained, and shared with service providers.

Where writing insights fit

Writing insights suit journals, personal essays, fiction, and any practice with enough pages to make return and comparison useful. They can help you find an older thread, notice a repeated form, or choose what you want to explore next.

They are not literary criticism, a quality score, or a measure of mental health. If you need a diagnosis, academic method, or objective evaluation of a manuscript, use a qualified person and the tools made for that task. To see the practice behind the portrait, visit the writing habit page.
