Create a Project
Open Library → Projects, then choose New Project. Add a title and, if useful, a summary, word goal, and deadline. You can change these details later while the Project is editable.
A new Project can begin with a new Writing or with work already in your Library.
- Choose Start writing to open a new Writing already linked to the Project.
- Choose Add writings to select existing Writings from Library.
- Open the Project menu on a Writing to return to its Project at any time.
Use Sections to shape the work
Sections can represent parts, chapters, themes, or stages. Writings without a Section remain visible under Unsectioned, so you can decide where they belong later.
Choose Start writing inside a Section to create a Writing linked to both the Project and that Section. On the Writing page, use the Section menu beside the Project name to move the Writing to another Section.
A Writing belongs to one Project at a time. Moving it to another Project replaces its current Project and Section association.
Review in Project order
The Project and Section appear beside the Writing title. Use the previous and next controls on the other side of the title to move through the Project in its arranged order, rather than by the dates the Writings were created.
On the Project detail page, collapse Sections you do not need while reviewing the overall structure.
Follow goals and status
The Project detail page brings together words written, remaining words, number of Writings, writing days, active writing time, goal progress, deadline, and time remaining. Statistics also shows your top Projects by word count.
Mark a Project complete when that phase of work is finished. Archive it when it should leave the active list. An archived Project is read-only: choose Reopen before you edit its details, Sections, or linked Writings.
What Projects are for
Projects organize one writer’s long-form work inside Riikee. They do not include shared editing, assignments, approvals, or publishing controls. Use a collaborative project-management tool when a team needs to manage the same production workflow.
